OUR PARTNER - BPAC
Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC) is a non-partisan citizen's group that aims to
improve governance in Bengaluru and to enhance the quality of life of every Bengalurean. B.PAC
is specifically targeting good governance practices, integrity and transparency in all arms of
the government, improving the quality of infrastructure in the city and identification as well
as support of strong candidates for public office at all levels. Ultimately, creating a safer
city where the rule of law is ensured for its residents as highlighted in B.PAC's Bengaluru
charter and agenda. B.PAC runs several programs, including B.CLIP, B.ENGAGED, B.GREEN, and
B.SAFE.
At the Inventure Academy Youth Parliament 2022, we collaborated with B.PAC to conduct a social impact
project focused on the impact of the pandemic on education. Our team interviewed students across
5 Government schools in Bangalore, and evaluated ASER and CSF reports to analyse the state of Indian
education before, during, and after the pandemic. We introduced our findings from this study into
our Indian committees at the conference, also providing exposure to delegates through training sessions
and a field trip. We finally compiled the solutions proposed in all our Indian committees into a
single white paper, under the guidance of B.PAC, recognizing the ideas of today's youth.
This year, B.PAC is working with us again! Through pre-committee sessions, they will be sharing their
expertise with delegates and guiding them on how to approach urban issues and come up with feasible
solutions. At INMUN 2025, we are collaborating them to organize a segment on sustainable living and
urban development. This includes a fun-filled evening where students will creatively showcase their
bold ideas for Bangalore's future, and a panel discussion composed of a panel of experts tackling various
urban challenges in Bangalore. Under B.PAC's guidance, we will be publishing the solutions from all
our Indian committees to authorities in the form of a white paper. Bringing youth voices to the limelight,
these activities will also give students valuable exposure to what it means to be a policy-maker,
and, more importantly, a changemaker!
